Grace Morrison is an award winning singer/songwriter and storyteller. She is the 2015 winner of the New England Music Awards Grassroots Award, 2013 Limelight Music Awards Band of the Year, a finalist in the New Jersey Folk Festival’s Singer/Songwriter competition, and a finalist in the Eventide Arts Songwriting Competition. The voice of Cardis’ Furniture 2015 holiday campaign; Grace also won WPRI- TV12’s Big Break Competition. A video of her song ‘The Trouble’ was featured during the American Idol finale.
A pianist since age five, Grace taught herself how to play the guitar as a teenager, started writing songs, and was invited to be the supporting act for some of the best musicians in America including stints as a backup singer for Eddie Money, performing with rock legends Chris Slade of AC/DC and The Firm, Greg Douglass of The Steve Miller Band, Joey Molland of Badfinger, Carmine Appice of Vanilla Fudge and Jimmy Baine of Dio.
Grammy nominated recording engineer John Mailloux of Bongo Beach Productions says, “Grace’s voice is a reflection of herself–pure and true. She is an incredible talent mixing seemingly effortless musicality and original storytelling in the Country Folk and Americana genres.”
Grace has just released “Live at the Zeiterion Theatre”, capturing her electrifying sold out performance from this past May at the Zeiterion Performing Arts Center.
