David Francey is a Scottish-born Canadian carpenter-turned-songwriter, who has become known as “one of Canada’s most revered folk poets and singers” (Toronto Star). A truly authentic folk singer, Francey is a documentarian of the working person. He has released eleven albums and won many honors including three Juno Awards (the Canadian equivalent of the Grammy) and two Canadian Folk Music Awards in 2016 for Solo Artist of the Year and Contemporary Album of the Year. In concert David is a singer and a storyteller. His wry humor and astute observations combined with his openhearted singing style have earned him a loyal following.
